IWM Rebrand Project
IWM Becomes EnviroWater Ireland
Brand Identity | Web Design | Website Development
In 2025, IWM came to Kola Digital with a clear brief and very little room for error: take a business that had traded under the same name since 1974 and move it fully under the EnviroWater Group banner, without shaking the customer base built up over five decades.
That last part is where most rebrands come unstuck. IWM had spent more than fifty years earning its name in Irish water treatment, water hygiene and legionella control, working with pharmaceutical manufacturers, food producers, hospitals and universities.
The business had been acquired in late 2020 by the German-headquartered EnviroWater Group, part of SKion Water, a group that now employs more than 750 people across 16 countries. By 2025 the Irish operation was still going to market under a name that told none of that story.
Kola Digital was appointed to manage the transition end to end. The result: IWM is now EnviroWater Ireland.
The Scope
Every element was put out to tender. Nothing was handed to a default supplier because it was easier.
- Full brand identity redesign, including logo, colour palette and brand guidelines
- Vehicle branding across a 33-strong fleet
- Internal and external signage
- Promotional products and branded workwear
- A website redesign and full suite of digital marketing assets
- Photography and videography
- A two-day launch event at the Guinness Storehouse in Dublin
Brand Development
The brand identity redesign had to work in two directions at once. It needed to sit comfortably inside the EnviroWater Group visual system so the Irish business read as part of a European organisation, and it needed to hold on to the credibility IWM had built locally since 1974.
We delivered a new logo, a colour palette drawn from the group identity, and a full set of brand guidelines covering everything from document templates to how the mark behaves on a van door at speed on the M50. Guidelines that nobody uses are just a PDF. These ones were written to be applied by staff, printers and signage suppliers without a designer sitting over them.
Vehicle Branding
Thirty-three vehicles were re-wrapped, using a mix of full and half wraps depending on the vehicle type and how it is used day to day.
For a service business, the fleet is the advertising. These vans sit outside hospitals, pharma plants and food production facilities all week. Getting the wrap right meant testing legibility at distance and in poor Irish light, not just approving a flat mock-up on screen.
Signage
All internal and external signage was redesigned and re-tendered. Materials were specified for durability first, given the weather they have to survive, and visual impact second. Reception areas, site signage, wayfinding and external building identification were all replaced as part of the changeover.
Promotional Products and Workwear
We designed a range of branded merchandise and work uniforms, then tendered the supply to control cost per unit without dropping to the kind of quality that falls apart after three washes. Workwear is a brand touchpoint that clients see more often than any brochure, so it was treated accordingly.
Branding and Website Design
Digital was where the rebrand became real for anyone outside the business. A customer who never sees a van or a uniform still sees the website.
We approached branding and website design as a single workstream rather than two separate projects running in parallel. The identity work fed straight into the build, which meant no gap between what the brand guidelines said and what the site actually looked like when it went live.
Website Redesign Ireland: What Changed
The website redesign was built around how this company is actually found. Technical buyers in pharma, food and healthcare search for specific services, not for brand names they have never heard of. The site was structured around service and sector pages, with the SEO groundwork done before a single page was designed rather than bolted on afterwards.
Alongside the site, we rebuilt the supporting digital estate: social media profiles, digital flyers, branded email signatures and templates. All of it went live in step with the name change, so there was no period where half the internet still said IWM.
This is the kind of website redesign Ireland businesses need when the company name itself is changing. Redirects, search visibility, existing rankings and customer recognition all have to be protected at the same time. Handled badly, a rename can wipe out years of organic traffic in a weekend.
Supplier Coordination and Tender Process
A rigorous tender process was the backbone of the project. Competitive bids were sought for printing, signage, vehicle wraps and workwear, and every supplier was assessed on budget, quality and ability to hit the timeline.
This is unglamorous work and it is where a rebrand of this size is won or lost. Thirty-three vans, a full signage rollout, uniforms and an event at the Guinness Storehouse all had to land in the same window. One supplier slipping by a fortnight would have been visible to every customer the company has.

The Results
EnviroWater Ireland launched aligned with the wider group and with a noticeably higher profile in the sector. The launch drew significant attention across the industry, and the new digital presence drove increased engagement and business enquiries.
Fifty years of local reputation carried across to the new name, which was the entire point.
Why Kola Digital?
We are more than a web design agency Ireland companies use for one-off builds. We handle branding and website design under one roof, along with the print, signage, fleet, workwear and event work that a real rebrand drags in behind it.
Most agencies will hand you a logo and wish you luck with the rest. A web design agency Ireland businesses can hand a full rebrand to is a different proposition. We manage the tender process, the suppliers, the timeline and the launch, so every touchpoint changes together instead of over eighteen awkward months.
Kola Digital is a web design agency in Ireland businesses call when the job is bigger than a website.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does a brand identity redesign take?
It depends on scope. A logo and guidelines can be turned around in weeks. A full rebrand covering fleet, signage, workwear, digital and a launch event runs to months, because supplier lead times and tender periods set the pace, not the design work.
What does a website redesign Ireland project usually involve when the company name is changing?
Site structure and content mapping, SEO planning, design, build, redirect strategy and a coordinated go-live. The redirect and SEO work matters most. That is what stops a name change from resetting your search visibility to zero.
Do you handle print and signage as well as digital?
Yes. On this project we tendered and managed printing, signage, vehicle wraps, promotional products and workwear alongside the digital rollout.
Can you work with an existing parent-company brand system?
That was the core of this project. The Irish identity had to sit inside the wider EnviroWater Group system while still working for an Irish market that knew the business by a different name.
Planning a rebrand, a website redesign, or both?
Kola Digital can manage the full process, from brand strategy and visual identity through to website design, development, digital assets, print, signage and launch coordination.
Whether you are refreshing an established brand or managing a complete company rebrand, we can help make sure every customer touchpoint changes together, while protecting brand recognition and online visibility.
