As a proud Naas-based business, we cherish collaborating with our fellow local businesses right here on our doorstep.
Recently, we had the pleasure of working closely with Lorna on the design and development of the brand-new website for the Railway Inn pub in Sallins.
As advocates for preserving the local charm, our goal was to infuse the essence of the pub into its digital presence with a website design that positions it in Ireland.
A Treasured Legacy
A beloved family-run establishment and off-licence nestled in the heart of Sallins village in Co Kildare, is known for its friendly staff and warm, welcoming atmosphere.
Lorna shared a clear vision of infusing the essence of the pub into the website design, from the décor to the drinks.
We had the pleasure of meeting Lorna at the pub in Sallins, where she kindly gave us a tour of the premises and shared the fascinating history of the place. The Railway Inn bar is housed in an original Georgian building, with historical records dating back to 1794 when it was owned by the McMahon family.
In 1977, the Carroll family, the current owners, acquired the business. For many years, the pub was affectionately known as “Ned’s,” paying tribute to the late Ned Carroll, a beloved landlord famous not only for his witty remarks but also for his unwavering loyalty to his hometown’s Laois GAA Gaelic football team.
This pub is a testament to enduring local memories.
With a special place in the hearts of both locals and Lorna’s family, the Railway Inn has become a cherished landmark. The desire to share its rich history and warm charm with a broader audience fueled the decision to create a new website.
In keeping with the times, an on-site off-license has been added, offering a selection of hampers suitable for various occasions, from birthdays to weddings. The vision was clear: blend tradition with modernity and make it accessible to everyone.
